The next meeting of the Faculty Senate is Friday, April 4, 2008 at 11:30 in ITV rooms Vernon 423 and CCC 205. All faculty, including adjunct faculty, are encouraged to attend this meeting of the Senate.

The purposes of the Faculty Senate:
- To provide a formal organization capable of speaking for the faculty of Vernon College
- To take action on any issue the faculty considers important for the operation of the college, and as needed, to communicate the faculty's views to the administration and/or the Board of Trustees.
- To promote the professional and economic welfare of the faculty.
- To promote effective two-way communication between the faculty and administration, and the faculty and student services
- To provide unity among faculty
- To promote teaching excellence in the classroom, the college, and the community.
