Welcome to VC and my little corner of cyberspace. I'm glad you are looking our way. Keep in mind that we can bring classes to you by way of the Internet and Interactive TV. If you are interested in any of these media, visit our "distance learning" area or email me for information.
Education:Professional Experiences:
- Well, I started at Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas, spending several years there before I received a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting in 1980.
- After working a few years I returned to school at the University of North Texas (although at the time it was still North Texas State University) where I received a Master of Science in accounting in 1986.
- After coming to work for VC, I have taken classes at various universities in Texas as needed. Oh! Yes---I am a loyal, native Texan.
- I have worked at three jobs as an accountant prior to coming to VC. When I finally graduated, I went to work for a company that leased and serviced pagers and radio equipment. Later, I went to work for a television station. After receiving my MS, I worked for a company that sold and serviced telephone systems. Is there a communications pattern going here? It must have been fate.
- For in 1989 I came to work for VC, and had to actually communicate with students!

Hobbies and Interests
Hobbies:
- One is never an empty nester when babies need treat-treats. Yes, I'm a sucker for dogs. I have three now, two "All American" dogs. One is a Chow mix and the other is a German Sheppard mix. The other is the newest older sister-a Basset Hound.
- I am now a Master Gardener--a member of the Rolling Plains Master Gardeners Association (Wilbarger and Hardeman counties) and the Texas Master Gardeners Association. I have served the last two years as the treasurer of the TMGA. At this time, I have a butterfly garden that changes with my mood and the drought conditions here. The pictures on this page was taken in my garden.
- I collect. What can I say? You can never have too many (fill in the blank) . I collect art pottery that I can find at a reasonable price--after looking at the prices paid at auction for Mission style or Arts and Crafts items. Vases particularly appeal to me. Grueby,Teco, Roseville, and Royal Doulton are some of my favorite companies.
